page 1 On these pages you'll find a few pictures from our exhibit "Jewish War Veterans of the North Shore," which opened on Memorial Day and ran for several weeks at the Society's exhibit room in Temple Sinai, One Community Road, Marblehead.

 

 

First Lt. George H. Shube "Ace"
Navigator on
a B-17. Killed over northern Italy during a bombing mission at age 23. Posthumously awarded Purple Heart for military merit and wounds received.

 

George Shube Joseph Grobman

Joseph Grobman
Served two years overseas in England, France, Belgium and Germany as a sergeant and crew chief of aircraft. Awarded four campaign stars.

 
  
William & Arthur Spatrick
Peabody brothers, on leave, 1945. William served in infantry barrage balloons & anti-aircraft battalions. Arthur survived the Battle of the Bulge.
